Government High School Cherukole Annual Day

 On January 31, 2025, the Annual Day celebration took place at Government High School Cherukole, uniting both the primary and high school students in a collaborative program. The event commenced with the flag being hoisted at 9:30 AM.



The formal program began at 2:00 PM with the traditional "Tamizhthaai Vaazhthu," performed by the 10th-grade girls. A classical welcome dance was presented by two students, one from each school. Following this, Mrs. Glory delivered the welcome address, setting a warm tone for the proceedings. The headmistress of the high school, Mrs. Sreekala, then presented the annual report, followed by the primary school headmistress, Mrs. Sarojini, who also shared insights from her report.

The event featured speeches from several esteemed sponsors, including Mrs. Sherlin Beula, Mr. Thirumala kumar, Mr. Renjith, Mr. Sindhu kumar, Mrs. Gandhi madhi, Mr. Anusan Ayyappan, Mr. Sethumadhavan, Mr. Natarajan, Mr. Sreekumar, Mr. Amalraj, Mr. Chellappan, Mrs. Jobitha, Mr. Selvin, Mrs. Jansili, Mrs. Sheeba Franklin, Mr. J. Rajesh, Mr. K. Antony, and Mrs. Vasantha. Their contributions were acknowledged, and Mrs. Priya expressed gratitude on behalf of the school.

Mrs. Jayajothi gracefully hosted the program, and the prize distribution followed, recognizing high school students who achieved outstanding marks in the previous year’s public examinations, participated successfully in district-level competitions, and excelled in various categories, including science exhibitions, sports, and cultural and artistic endeavors.

The cultural segment commenced with a welcome dance by the first-grade students, and the ninth-grade students Ashini, Ashika, and Subarna served as hosts for this section. Performances included a dance by sixth and seventh-grade girls to a Kannada track, followed by LKG and UKG students, and a vibrant song by the 10th-grade girls. Additionally, third and fourth-grade girls performed a nature awareness dance, while ninth-grade girls showcased a traditional Kalari dance.

The program continued with enthusiastic displays from the boys of third and fourth grades, as well as energetic performances by eighth-grade girls in Punjabi dance and fifth-grade girls in a Kummi dance. A comic skit by sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade boys entertained the audience, followed by a motivational dance by fifth-grade boys and an elegant dance by the girls from the tenth grade. The dynamic performances concluded with a thematic drama on Jung food presented by fourth and fifth-grade students, followed by a freestyle dance by ninth-grade boys. The final act was a mime performance by fifth-grade boys centered around an agricultural theme.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Sarojini, and the event was wrapped up with the singing of the national anthem.
