TB awareness program

Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious illness that primarily affects the lungs. The bacteria that cause tuberculosis can spread when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or even sings, releasing tiny droplets containing the germs into the air. Another person can then inhale these droplets, allowing the germs to enter their lungs.

In response to this health concern, the government of Tamil Nadu organized a tuberculosis awareness program for school students. On November 4th, an awareness camp was held at Government High School in Cherukole. Members from Kuttakuzhi Hospital were present to explain the causes, effects, and preventive measures related to tuberculosis to both students and teachers. The program proved to be beneficial for everyone, increasing awareness about this airborne disease.
