On January 23, 2025, a successful sports day was organized at Government High School Cherukole, showcasing the enthusiasm and participation of our students. The festivities commenced with an assembly, setting a positive tone for the day's events.
The activities were divided into two categories: the first category included students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, while the second category comprised students from the 9th and 10th grades. The events began with a series of running races, first for the boys in the first category, followed by the girls, and continuing with the boys and girls in the second category.
In addition to the races, a variety of engaging games were conducted. The younger category girls participated in a lemon-and-spoon race, while boys competed in a balloon blast. The second-category girls participated in a fill-the-bottle race, and the second-category boys enjoyed a tail game. To ensure all participants remained energized, energy drinks were provided to both students and faculty.
Following lunch, group sports events commenced. The girls from both categories participated in Kho-Kho, and the boys engaged in Kabaddi, demonstrating commendable teamwork and sportsmanship. For students not involved in the group sports, a special game of musical chairs was organized. The day concluded with a lively session of dancing to popular music, fostering a sense of community and celebration among the participants. Overall, it was a memorable and well-received event that highlighted the spirit of our school community.
